The Department of Digital Media (located at East Tennessee State University) bridges the arts and sciences to prepare students for work at the highest artistic and technical levels.

Based in Johnson City, the program emphasizes industry-level technical skills, strong aesthetic foundations, and hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies. Students specialize in animation and interactive media, including 2D and 3D animation, game design, concept art, visual effects, storyboarding, and more.

ETSU also offers a Master of Fine Arts in Digital Media, focused on advanced creative research, professional development, and leadership in the digital arts. This terminal degree prepares graduates for careers in the creative industry or for teaching at the collegiate level through hands-on training and mentorship from experienced faculty.
