Mary Reaves Uhles

As a children’s book writer and illustrator, Mary Reaves Uhles has illustrated over 20 books for young readers, from picture books to middle grade novels. Her most recent title, THE FLOCK WE FOUND, was named a Best Books of 2025 by Child Mind Institute and her 2018 title, A TUBA CHRISTMAS, received a Kirkus Star. Prior to beginning her publishing career, Mary worked on animation projects for Warner Brothers and Fisher-Price Interactive. When she’s not painting and drawing, she’s hanging out with her kids and opinionated black cat in Nashville, Tennessee.
