Plan Beyond Just Panels
Arrive early for popular panels. Big-name guests and industry panels fill up fast.
Leave buffer time between events for lines, bathroom breaks, and walking across the venue.
Check for signings or ticketed events that may require separate reservations.
Check the schedule for real-time schedule changes.
Budget Smart
Set a spending budget ahead of time. Exhibitors all offer exciting purchase options.
Bring both card and some cash. Wi-Fi can be unreliable.
Some vendors offer discounts on the final day.
Ask artists about commissions early if you’re interested.
Comfort Is Key
Wear comfortable shoes. You’ll walk a lot.
Bring a refillable water bottle (if permitted by venue rules).
Pack light but smart: portable charger, snacks, deodorant, and a small backpack.
Take breaks. It’s okay to step outside and recharge.
Make sure you know how far your hotel/airbnb is from the Expo so you can determine if you need to rent a car or will take Lyft or Uber transportation.
Networking & Industry Tips
Bring business cards or a QR code if you’re a creator.
Have a short introduction ready about your work or interests.
Bring your excitement and curiosity as you walk through the Exhibitor Tables. The artists are here to engage with YOU!
Ask questions and let them know what you are interested in.
Follow up with contacts afterward on social media or email.
Mental & Social Prep
Conventions can feel overwhelming — that’s normal.
It’s okay to attend solo — you’ll likely meet people who share your interests.
Step away if you feel overstimulated. Most expos have quiet areas.
Be kind — everyone is there because they love animation.

Animation Y’all does not allow AI-generated work to be displayed or sold at any of our Exhibitor Tables or Sponsor Booths.
For the purposes of this policy, Animation Y’all defines AI-generated work as any work created using an AI program that relies on source material the artist does not personally own or hold the rights to. Any such work is considered in violation of our Exhibitor and Sponsor guidelines and is not permitted for display or sale.
If any work sold is determined by our staff to be AI-generated, it will be considered counterfeit or bootleg merchandise and must be removed immediately.
Failure to remove prohibited work upon request will result in the Exhibitor or Sponsor being required to leave the Expo at their own expense.
