Whenever people ask when I started drawing, I just respond that I never stopped. In high school, I was constantly pulled between theatre and art, so when I got to college, studying animation seemed like the natural middle ground in my interests. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media with an Emphasis in Animation. Soon after graduating, I started taking small freelance illustration jobs, and still continue to do so. I have held a variety of art-related jobs as well, including: special effects makeup artist, Trader Joe’s Sign Artist, Adjunct Faculty (teaching storyboarding), set designer/painter for a small children’s theatre, and most recently, an art teacher for after school and homeschool programs. I also have been in Artist Alleys at comic conventions for the past 8 years.
