As a children’s book writer and illustrator, Mary Reaves Uhles has illustrated over 20 books for young readers, from picture books to middle-grade novels. Her most recent title, THE FLOCK WE FOUND, was named a Best Books of 2025 by Child Mind Institute, and her 2018 title, A TUBA CHRISTMAS, received a Kirkus Star. Prior to beginning her publishing career, Mary worked on animation projects for Warner Brothers and Fisher-Price Interactive. When she’s not painting and drawing, she’s hanging out with her kids and opinionated black cat in Nashville, Tennessee.
